About Me
Hi, I’m Nova.
I never set out to be a florist. I’ve just always been searching for the thing that made me feel something acting, painting, writing, photography. I’ve tried a little of all of it. But flowers? Flowers remind me of home. Of moments you don’t get back.
I don’t think of myself as an artist. I’m not here to create a legacy or make something that lasts forever. I’m here to spend time with my cats, ,my family, to notice the sky changing, to see color from a new angle. I’m here to make flowers for right now.
The irie Bloom is what happens when you stop chasing the other peoples ideas and start following your own rhythm. I don’t take many requests. I follow the seasons, pick a color every Monday, and make what I love that week.

My favorite flowers to use.
Anthurium & Orchids (esp. Cymbidium & Phalaenopsis)
Roses (especially garden & toffee varieties)
Ranunculus & Butterfly Ranunculus
Smoke bush, foraged greenery, and fruiting branches
Amaranthus, Queen Lace, grasses, and dried stems
Brown Eucalyptus & painted fern
My favorite colors to use
Pinks are my favorite. Bright coral to soft blush to bubblegum and dusty rose.
Terracotta, rust, and brown are my neutral colors. These show up through brown eucalyptus, branches, or even the pot.
Lilac and lavender are my favorite contrast colors. They give depth and softness without being icy or harsh.
Peach and coral are my transition colors the link between the pinks and the browns, giving warmth.
